About The University

The Islamic Azad University (IAU) is the world's sixth-largest university. It was approved and ratified by Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution in 1982 after the Islamic Revolution of 1979. It is a semi-private university system in Iran. The Islamic Azad University Zahedan Branach (IAUZ) is located in Zahedan, established on 12 December 1982, in the center of the Province of Sistan and Balochestan. Zahedan is located near Pakistan and Afghanistan. It was established as a response to the high demand for higher education.
