Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi, a member of the board of trustees of Islamic Azad University and head of the Islamic Azad University of Tehran province and Central Tehran branch announced the implementation of "scientific programs" at the university for the first time in the country.
According to the Public Relations Department of Central Tehran branch, Tehranchi, among the deputies, directors and heads of the Central Tehran branch departments, emphasized the expansion of the relationship between industry and university, and said: “The plan for ‘scientific programs’ is considered as a coherent model that aims at strengthening the relationship between industry and university for the first time in the country, and is defined as a widely used native targeted system for higher education.
He added: “Control of educational standards and research orientation are two important issues in the scientific programs, and we will put scientific programs into the system in May of this year. Basically, Central Tehran is working in the areas of environment, science and sports engineering, creative and cultural industries and regional studies.”
Emphasizing the identity formation of the students, the member of the board of trustees of Islamic Azad University stated: “The first year of education in the university plays a crucial role in students’ identity formation, and accordingly, we must take advantage of experienced professors and pioneers to influence the identity formation of students. We need to change interactive methods on students and provide effective teaching along with scientific standards.”
“The Faculty of Communication is the core of the cultural industries project, to which engineering, theology, English, art, and other majors are linked,” said this, member of the board of trustees of Islamic Azad University, in another part of his speech on cultural & creative industries project.
During this meeting, the head of Islamic Azad University of Tehran emphasized a major change in the field of literature and theology, style creation in the faculty of Basic Sciences, establishment of a school of thought at the Faculty of Management, as well as reformation of the faculty members' pyramid, establishment of national social networks, students’ identity formation, entrepreneurship, and etc.
